Exhibitions and Public Art displays, selected:
1) My solo show, on display from Jan. 7- mid April 2026, contains 19 of my art quilts. It is at the Performing Arts Center in Castro Valley, CA, The Artist opening is Saturday Feb. 21st, from 3:00-5:00PM.
2) Both Lascaux 1 – Auroch and Reflections : Teak and Glass Handrails Shipboard were juried into ARTQUILTSwild! a show curated by PAQA South. It will be displayed in the Page-Walker Arts and History Center from March 11- May 2, 2026.
3) The Body Electric , a piece including my own knee x-rays, arrayed in columns, from my Agglomerations series. It was juried into another international exhibition called “Metamorphosis”, curated & managed by SAQA (Studio Art Quilters Association). 4) Incurvate 2 is in this global SAQA exhibition ---“Abstraction: Textural Elements”, starting at the Max Berk Textile Collection, Palatinate Museum, Heidelberg, Germany. 5) Darkness Visible was in 14th Annual International Juried Exhibition at Gallery 110, 3rd Ave. S, Seattle, WA 98104, in 2024
6) My very large piece A Song of Ascent is on permanent display at the new main branch of the Hayward Public Library in Hayward, CA. It is in a specially built case opposite the elevator doors on the second floor. A refugee/ hope piece, it attracts school students and all viewers by its meaning and beauty.
7) My solo show in the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts lobby hung there October -Nov. 27, 2023. The Visual Arts Committee for the City of Mountain View selected me to exhibit about 25 art quilts, enough to fill the 800+ linear feet of wall in the Lobby and a few niches in the City Hall as well. 8) Accelerating-Decelerating 2017 On permanent display at Salt Lake City International Airport. I “photo shopped” my small art quilt Accelerating- Decelerating to create an image 9’ feet high x 38’-6” feet wide. It was printed on vinyl and applied to what the Airport calls a “large scale art wall, based on original artwork, and intended to create immersive and engaging experiences for travelers”.
9) Tornado one of my new “abstracts in motion”. It was juried into “Primal Forces: Wind” a Global SAQA show premiering at the National Quilt Museum, Paducah KY. It travelled for 3 years to shows around the country
10) I created 5 new pieces for the “Momentary and Timeless” exhibition at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. Three that were hung are Still Pond – Frog Jumps in, Lost in Tall Bamboo and Tyger Tyger.
11) Rising Tides was juried into a SAQA exhibition called “Shifting Tides - Convergence in Cloth”. It was exhibited in the Works Gallery, San Jose, traveled for 3 years, and was then sold.
12) Incurvate and Excurvate was juried into an exhibition, “Connections”, at Visions Art Museum: Contemporary Quilts + Textiles, in San Diego, 2019. It was sold from that Gallery.
13) Sinfonia Plus was juried into and exhibited at the Q=A=Q 2018 exhibition at the Schweinfurth Gallery in Auburn, NY.
14) A solo show of my art quilt work, called “Lions and Tigers and Bridges, Oh My!,” was up at Bay Quilts shop and gallery during March 2018. Many pieces sold.

Selected book and Other Publications:
Patchwork Professional, a German quilting magazine, published 8 pages of my art quilts and the Artist Statements for each piece, as an educational and aesthetic spread. February 2020 issue.
He Always Wondered has been published in the exhibition book, for a show called "World War II Homefront Quilts 2014".
Ad Infinitum will be published in the next SAQA collection, Portfolio 23 , out in the Fall of 2016. Portfolios contain recent works of the Professional (Juried) Artist Members of the Studio Art Quilters Association (SAQA). They are used to market the art.
Oh! Rock-a My Soul! is published in a LARK book called 500 Traditional Quilts, 2014. It featured in LARK's associated exhibit at the Houston International Quilt Festival, 2014 and toured for two more years.
Benthos appears in the SAQA collection Portfolio 22, 2015; Composing Colors, in Portfolio 21, 2014 and Ignition has been published in the SAQA book Portfolio 20, 2013.

Career: Practicing in Architecture and urban design firms for approximately 25 years, in San Francisco, Chicago, Oakland and Berkeley.
